Noda Map will be performing Hideki Noda's new theater piece Piper at Shibuya Bunkamura's Theater Cocoon in January-February of 2009. The new piece takes place one thousand years in the future, and on Mars to boot! A world which you've never imagined before will haunt the stage. Mars, the planet which once occupied the dreams of all humanity, has already been forgotten by everyone. In the same way, the Mars of one thousand years from now has been completely forgotten. Two sisters live there, played by highly acclaimed actresses Takako Matsu and Rie Miyazawa. Both of these actresses have starred twice respectively in productions by Noda, but this will be their first performance together. How in the world did they end up on Mars, how have they managed to survive until now, and what's going to happen to them from here on out? A work strongly infused with science fiction which unravels at a thrilling pace - don't miss it!
